Went in search of the Rough-legged Buzzard at Orford Ness, had good, but rather distant views of this impressive bird of prey. Whilst there I was intrigued by the complex of aerials and old building,(exBBC transmitter), in this wild open landscape, meanwhile a flock of Brent Geese, newly in from their arctic breeding grounds, fed unconcerned amongst the saltmarsh.

  1. Hi Richard!

Well, what are the odds? I was on Orfordness on Thursday 31st of October also looking at a magnificent Rough Legged Buzzard!

Unfortunately the weather was awful that day so I confess I didn't even get my camera out, but I did a shoot there a couple of years ago. It's a wonderful place, and I'll be back there next October hopefully.

    Your illustrations are excellent.

    Best wishes, Tina Lindsay
